yet another post about the band shed
Today I worked on the shed. Man. I had to take so much crap out to start painting.
I started by moving every single thing out of the shed, throwing away all the garbage, sweeping up, sanding down the walls, cleaning them after with a damp towel, and then I applied the primer. Haha, it already looks pretty good. The primer's color is blueish, kind of a day time sky color. Kinda neat how tomorrow I'm going to paint it "midnight sky". Oo, I keep forgeting I have to cut stars out.
Ah, and it was SUCH a nice day today. Its funny how much the weather can affect ones mood. I was so utterly depressed all week, then all of a sudden today, day off, sun shining brightly, I drove around picking up some more supplies for the shed, got some teriyaki, and returned home eating teriyaki under the sun, on top of the table in front of the shed, and I felt so incredibly content.
Ah, anywho, on the 2nd or 3rd of next month (a couple weeks) I shall finally throw a grand opening party! For sure this time! It'll be grand I think. So for those that matter, please come.
And I believe I've figured out a good set-up for Project Nemo.
Acoustic guitar with some effects maybe, an organ or synth some sort of keyboard-like instrument hooked through a bass amp, and drums of course, and whatever else little toys I can manage in. And shitty vocals. I've been noticing how great really bassy keying is. Especially coupled with the rustic acoustic guitar ala Animal Collective. It would give it that robotic foresty feel I've been pining for. Like think of some explorer going out into the forest or some jungle and finding ruins of some robotic ancienct civilization, and being haunted by their ghosts. It would be their soundtrack. I think that will be the goal of Project Nemo. Or at least the backdrop anyways. I just gotta work on my keyboarding skills. Its easy to goof around and make some good melodys, but its really hard to remember all the keying and be able to make the same finger patterns and memorizing the placement and blah. It would sound so interesting though maybe...
Blah, Jess and I were supposed to see Pan's Labrynth today, but it just left theatres. So I'm stuck at home. I hope tomorrows a nice day...

Hey, Pan Labyrinth is still on in Seattle. At the Egyptian (where we saw fear and loathing). It'll be on at least till Thursday...thats when they switch movies. I haven't seen it, but its looks so neat.

oh cool. If its still there by next weekend I'll probably go see it. If not, I'll just wait for the dvd release.
Justin and Shelby saw it and said it was amazing!

Re: star
oh joy!
I can't really do anything this week, I have work and lots of crap to do, but maybe if you're free next week for some record spelunking and star-giving?
Lemme know what days you have free.
